How do I become a an Official for SAFOA?

We have level 1 Clinics a few times a year. this is one day in classroom training followed by an on-field training with one of our senior Official.

Is there anything I need to know prior to the clinic?

We will provide everything you'll need to know during the clinic. Just bring your passion and willingness to learn!

What can I expect from the clinic?

First of all, thank you for your interest in becoming an Official! The clinic runs typically on Saturdays, we will provide food and drinks. The classroom lesson will go over basic rules and positioning on the field. We provide level 1 booklets and go over in detail your positioning of sideline officials and rule knowledge. This is a great to ask lots of questions as our educators are able to answer all questions and help clarify any confusion. At the end of the clinic there is a test to complete then you will be a certified level 1 officials.
